Description

The listing, PISTON CLOCK has ended.

This is a RE-LIST due to incorrect mailing and a death in the family

What we have here is a Chevy Piston Clock. It really works and keeps great time, made by my husband, Topper. Runs by a battery. (battery included) The piston still have the rings included.

Because of all that has gone on around my home in the past months. I decided my husband needs to make something cool. I am setting this up as a TIERED AUCTION.

How this will work:
1.YOU MUST BE A VERIFIED SELLER,
2. PUT IN A BID,
3.COME UP WITH A GREAT CLOCK IDEA INCORPORATED WITH A CAR PART, LOGO, WHATEVER!

Now it has to be a good idea. When an idea is presented, others must vote on it.

So, example, 2 clock plans.....they turn out to be cool ideas....equals one manly man per idea.

Now comes the other part. Voting......each vote counts for a little manly man item. So if there are 25 votes on one idea and 5 on another, that is 30 votes=30 small items.

I will have the items listed that are to be included and pictured so you can see what the winner will win. I just do not have the items as yet. But will soon.

Understand now, this is for the GUYS. So all you women out there, think of what your husband would like.......

Any questions, let me know. I will explain better,I hope. I am doing this to help my husband, he needs the love of you Listians right now. You might get Topper answering you thru my name, I will make sure he notes his name in the message to you.

This will run for a full 21 days just to see what we get for ideas. I am excited and hope this will excite you too!

Hmmmmm... Looking for a clock for my Step-Dad, who is a Preacher and collects and displays clocks, and sometimes even preaches on them. I have read your listing over and over, and the more I read it the more confused I get. I have prayed about and read it again. I think I understand more clearly now. Topper is your husband and he and your family have went through some hard and dark times lately. I noticed your clock because I thought that it looked similar to a cross, but that someone had cut the top of it off a bit. Now that you are talking about cars and logos, I get it. And, the man, and manly things. I am going to call my step dad early in the morning and have him pray for Topper and have the church pray and put Topper on the prayer chain. Maybe my idea would be for Topper to come up for a unique clock for my preacher clock collector step dad to take to church to preach on that I could give him as a Christmas Gift? Of course, I would pay him a reasonable amount for his work... Just thinking, and may be thinking too hard, but I think that the cross would be considered as an appropriate Logo? Well, let me know what you think. And Mrs. Topper, we will be praying for you as well. So, sending love, hugs, and many prayers your way....<3

Fuel gage from the 67 to 72 The part is round with single white hand no numbers or letters on gage just lines to mark fuel level. Or the Tachometer Gage from the 67 - 72 Chevy. The part is a black oval shape with a round gage face with white marks, one white hand and no numbers or letters on gage.

Use the distributor cap as the base. Have the Chevy emblem on the front of the distributor cap. Mount the Tachometer or Fuel gage (or a replica there of) on the top (as if the part were just laid there waiting to be installed) to hold the inner workings of the clock.

I know these parts would be hard to find but you could make a replica of the distributor cap or the Tachometer with any black container and just marking the numbers in white with white hands. Distributor caps are easy to find in most junk yards. Chevy emblem can be done with paint or junkyard find

Oh I loved this clock the first time I say it. Now I have some credits and may be able to make a good run at it. Wish me luck. Been a fan, most def watching and going to try to not only bid but also win.

I hope you and your family have a Blessed Week. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Im voting for IPERDU's Tachometer
I would love to see a clock made out of or off of a tach from a '70's Mach Drag car. Anything that has to do with speed is a favorite for me. Like Nascar.
Great idea of an auction and I wish you the best of luck.
Fanned and watching for sure!

Well - I know I wasn't too clear.... My steering wheel idea was the initial idea for the clock and then when I came back I added: the column was the base (stand) with the wheel being the FACE and the turn signal one hand (maybe the HOUR hand?) and then the gear shift the other hand (the minute?) I know I wasn't the mechanic..... I just sat in the garage and watched (love my daddy!) ...the clock too ... maybe this can help clear it up an get a few votes for me :)

For a really large clock you could make one out of the hood of a Volkswagen Beetle. For those of you not familiar with the with the Beetle the engine is in the rear of the car and the trunk is in the front so the hod is actually on the rear of the vehicle.
