The listing, 1/2 (DOLLAR?) California Gold Coin has ended.

This was bought by a family member at a swap meet in California back in the 1970's. I'm not a coin collector so it's just been sitting in a drawer for several years. It says California Gold 1/2 with the CA Bear on one side. And the other side just gives the date (1857) and has a female head on it. It appears to be in really great shape and to the best of my knowledge has never been removed from the holder it is in now. I cannot ask the family member because she is no longer here.

To me it looks very much like "1857 Liberty #1 ***" in better condition.
