The listing, Apple iPod 4g 40gb has ended.

This iPod will charge, but it will not connect to a computer (without an overhaul or some surgery). There is some music on it already. I have the charger and cord.

I will ship for free if the auction goes beyond 300 credits. Less than 300 credits, shipping is $4 payable ONLY VIA PAYPAL. Either way, I only ship within the lower 48 states.

Charger is included. It is the older style charge with firewire

To the winner...

I had an old iPod 4th Generation which also took Firewire/USB combo cable... It had a bad hard drive... to get it to connect and format a new drive I had to find an old version of itunes (google for an old download link, ironically I could only find it for Windows), somewhere along the way to iTunes8 they botched the recovery of 4th generation iPods.

As usual, your mileage may vary.

u have so many comment so forgive me if i ask what others have ... how is that u cannot connect this to a computer do u just not have the proper usb cord or its not meant i dont understand how a ipod doesnt work or opperate from a computer - thank you for ur time

It isn't a usb issue. The iPod simply doesn't work correctly anymore. Only bid if you are willing to perform some surgery. It can be fixed--just not by me.

I've tried the reset without success. The problem will be harder to solve than that. It does include the charger.

There is about 12 gb of a mix of mostly jam band music (Grateful Dead, String Cheese, Phish) as well as some jazz. I don't have an actual list since it hasn't been my primary music player for awhile.
