Description

The listing, 1892 Commemorative U.S. Columbian Half Dollar XF Condition has ended.

This 1892 coin commemorates the Worlds Columbian Exposition Chicago. 1492/1892. I believe this coin is uncirculated. Columbus on front and Santa Maria over two globes on reverse. ""The Columbian Exposition half dollar commemorative coin, commonly referred to as the Columbian half dollar, was minted for the Columbian Exposition held between 1892 to 1893. It honors the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of America.""Wikipedia"

It looks uncirculated. I dont see any wear. The scan makes one side of front look worn but its not at all. What would the grade be with no wear?

the coin is over graded at xf. a uncirculated one of these should look like this..

coin is completely void of luster and it has wear on the head and globes
I'd grade vf-35 personally. Xf -40 is not far off though and it is possible that eye appeal will give it that grade.

http://www.coinlink.com/CoinGuide/commemoratives/1892-1893-columbian-exposition-half-dollar/ My coin looks like this one. My scanner doesnt make it look very good. The last sail on the ship shows slight wear bit the globes are very nice. Better than the one on this link. My coin is a silver color.
