FREE: Southwestern Stars

These Earrings were one of many gifts from my oldest, dearest friends. They spent much of their life ( the 60's and 70's) traveling around Southwestern US and Mexico in their Volkswagen Bus.
I knew the two of them so very well but I really know very little about these earrings. I don't know if they bought them old or new, in US or Mexico... The metal was very dark grey, pewter colored, until I used a bit of silver polish on them today. Still, since there are no markings on them I can't be certain that the earrings are silver or another metal.
I do think they are interesting and pretty but I don't believe I have ever worn them, so it's time for someone else to have them. I've just put new sterling silver ear wires on them, so they are ready to travel. :o)
