I thought we could have some parenting conversation with this one (we need to get that comments badge don't we?). What was your biggest eye opener as a parent? Mine was realizing now matter how much I loved our loving, sweet, trusting, well trained family dog I could never ever trust a animal around my child. I swore for years that dogs don't just "snap" until karma bit me in the butt. The second picture is my 20lb son getting out of surgery 10 hours after he was attacked by my ex husbands 90lb female pit bull mix. Thankfully he was fine but I was severally traumatized from the event (way more so then my son, who was actually bit!) and I still have nightmares and PTSD like symptoms. It allowed my to realize that as big of a animal lover as I am I can't always trust them.
