Description

The listing, Straight Knitting Needles + Stitch Markers has ended.

Up for auction are 4 sets of straight aluminum knitting needles. Each one is over 12" long and made by Susan Bates. I've had these needles for a long time, so the finish on them is not perfect. However, they still work just fine. As a matter of fact, I'm only getting rid of them because I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in my hands and straight knitting needles put too much stress on the joints.

Sizes included are: 6, 7, 8, and 10. I did have a set of 9s, but I'm missing one of the pair. If I can find the missing needle before auction end, I will include it with the set as well.

I am also tossing in these adorable rubber heart stitch markers. They are the larger size, so comfortably fit on all of these needles.

I will ship to overseas military addresses and they're included in the "free shipping".

Thanks for looking and good luck!

If you have a chance to try knitting with circulars, they may be better for your hands :)

Yes. I was doing a ton of reading online trying to find ways to keep going with my favorite crafts. Luckily, I had been building a beautiful collection of Hiya Hiya circulars this past year. I'm all set to go. I figured I would get the straights out to someone else who can use them. :-)

Arthritis gallops through my family, I know how you feel, lol. I love my circs, but can never find the right length. Recently all but 4 sets of my needles were lost to a storage unit. Now I get to try to build them up again (yay, lol)

Ladies, get yourself a set of interchangable circs!!!!!!! that is really the way to go, Webs has a set for around 30.00 and they are well worth it. If you can't do that knit picks sells them one at a time too. that way you have dif lengths and always have what you need. I have DJD and rheumatoid too, and I still am able to knit quite a bit. In the mean time, I will bid on these for a friend of mine! Nice little set! fanned and watching.

You wouldn't believe how picky I am when it comes to my needles. I went through almost every brand before settling on the Hiya Hiya fixed circs. I finally bit the bullet and tried out their interchangeables and they did a spectacular job with them. They're releasing their new sharps this next month and my set is already reserved. LOL I decided not to get the interchangeables in their normal tips because, well... I pretty much already have the entire set in fixed. LOL However, yes. I'm set for now. Just clearing out the ones I don't use.

Thanks for the fan! Fanning you back.

So the interchangables don't snag or catch at all? I want to get a set (or several, hehe) but wasn't sure how well they'd work out.

Hiya interchangeables are neat. :-) I mainly work with lace weight, and it didn't snag on them at all. I also like how they're make out of stainless steel rather than a coated metal which can rub off over time.
