That's an EIB pin, or Expert Infantryman's Badge and has nothing to do with any war and can still be earned to this day by completing the physical tests required. Cost a couple bucks to buy one new at the PX on base.

Ty for the info ... but i am aware of what it is . I didnt say it had to do only with vietnam... i stated it was from vietnam era . I am former military myself just not Army ..that was my Dad and other members . Again ty for the info :)

Actually this is a combat infantry badge (CIB).it has the reaf around it where the EIB doesn't
