The listing, "Deep Survival" By Laurence Gonzales has ended.

A Trully awesome book!
Deep Survival has made a profound and lasting impression on wilderness travelers and extreme sport enthusiasts. It is being used by the head of training for the Navy SEALs and by wildland firefighters, police, and others. But it has also been embraced by a growing number of people who do not take great risks or seek adventure.
Readers everywhere are finding that the principles in Deep Survival apply to any challenge life poses, from coping in the business world, to extreme trials like having a life threatening illness or dealing with addiction and recovery.

WEll read the other post, but I would certainly rather die in the outdoors than on a gurney.

WEll cheesey ( sorry I could not resist and you seem to me like a real man one that can take a joke). Yes I loved the backcountry, but I was in two very serious auto accidents that did some damage to my frontal lobes and now I have several different types of seizures. The prognosis of all these things working against my bisy internally is not good; however if given the chance I'll take the risk and live thefinal moments to the fullest.

I hope you win this, I really do. I used to live in Northern AZ. way before these issues and I was so in to survival training. The thing is this, when you least expect it ( ususually not on a mountain or a crashing plain) it comes back in some form.

thanks, me too..and i totally agree...survival traning can be useful in everyday life, whether it be to put things in perspective, to calm down, or to just use the mental skills. did you live out in the backcountry?
