Hi there. Just FYI as I am an insulin-dependent diabetic and have been for years. Once a vial of test strips have been opened and exposed to air, their effectiveness will expire in approx. 60 days. That is why there is a rubber-type gasket built into the bottle under the lid. Once they have been open for more than 60 days, they can give completely false readings, therefore causing the user to dispense the wrong amount of insulin/medication... this could be fatal... please remove the partial test trips from the auction and do not send them to the winner...(plus, there should be an expiration date on both the test strips and the control liquid... please check and post the date, so the winner will be aware... If you have the insert/instruction sheet for the strips, you can verify what I have said about the strips being in-effective and dangerous...I just wouldn't want to see something happen to the winner because of lack of knowledge...

Thank you for the FYI .I read and was told that it actually can be up to 3 months once opened and I just opened it last month but I should have mentioned that. FYI too is the strips can be environmentally altered ,like sending strips and its hot out. All good FYI since I too have had diabetes in my family and had my beloved pet with diabetes too. And he just passed. But I will do better and not include the strips would hate to take that chance . Not worth the risk. FYI.I have a dog meter too. THank u.
