I used to watch these when I was little! This is an awesome auction. Haven't seen a venus fly trap in about 15 years. =) My aunt had a bunch of them. fanned and bidding!

what would you feed it in the winter when the flies are dormant? I love venus fly traps, my mom years ago had one that was really big and she gave it bits of hamburger. fanned , and watching for now.

I'd say flies, crickets ~shoot maybe even a stink bug :0) I'd go with the crickets because you can get them at the pet store. but you only wanna give small pieces of bug. do not give a trap any food that is bigger than about 1/3 the size of the trap. If you give the plant a bug that is too large, bacterial rot will often set in and kill the leaf.This is where the kids may LOVE to smash the bug and help with the feedings :0) Yuck but awesome
