This Original Hand Crocheted Steel Blue Scarf is made of Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn. It is about 56 inches long (not including fringes), 5 inches wide with an 8 inch fringe on each end of the scarf. It is of medium thickness and weight, soft and comfortable. It will keep a person warm when it is cold outside. The scarf is 100% acrylic and is machine washable and dryable. The Color of the scarf is actually somewhat darker than in the picture. It is a very nice shade of blue.

when hung around your neck, does it reach about to your waiste?

Yes, if you just lay it around your neck. I am 5'7" tall and it when I place it around my neck and just the the sides of the scarf hang down, it is actually a little below my waist. Exactly where it lays will of course depend on your height.

I'm really hoping to get this scarf. It looks so pretty! I wish I could crochet.
That, and I'm only five feet tall, so I'm hoping it will look nice and long and adventure-ish on me.
