The listing, "vintage" Toshiba Laptop has ended.

Don't laugh guys! I have a 1996 (?) Toshiba laptop. It runs Windows 98 right now and can connect to dial-up Internet. Good for tech guys for mods,parts or just to own a piece of tech history! Feel free to ask any questions you might have, I'll TRY to answer them to the best of my ability! Shipping is kinda high at $10, but this beast is HEAVY!! Currently running on Windows 98

How true. I hate to admit it,but before the spill I was pretty oblivious to how corporate greed affected so many lives. I was the typical American,spending all my money at WalMart on things I would never really need,chasing that big plastic "American dream" . My life has changed dramatically since my eyes were opened tho, I've moved far north to a VERY rural town,3 hours away from the nearest WalMart. I grew a garden for the first time this year and watch what I buy,not just price,but what kind of impact it puts on the world. I think that's why I like Listia so much, it's like old world trade and barter.

does not connect to dsl, only dial up. there MAY be a way to convert it?? I have no earthly idea, it's just an old laptop

Since I am not very computer litarate...you say it can connect to dial up...does that mean it cannot connect to DSL? Fanned and I am old school...lol

I moved up here from the Gulf coast last November, I've been here just over a year now, and I'm still intimidated by all this snow! It's beautiful, but I just am not that comfortable with it yet!

It does work! It has a plug that's connected, but if it comes unplugged while your using it you have a minute,tops, before it powers off. Bad battery maybe?
