Heirloom Organic: Heirloom tomatoes are those tomatoes that are open-pollinated rather than hybrid or genetically modified varieties of tomatoes.

There is nothing more delightful than walking through the garden that you planted from seed! The surprises, the triumphs and sometimes failures of mix and matching plants leads you down the "garden path" of trial and error. Sometimes you find plants that thrive and multiply and other times the plants will not cooperate at all -- but when all is said and done, and you walk along your garden path, you enjoy your garden jewels -- the flowers that you planted with great care. Enjoy your garden flowers, your precious yard jewels!

Yummy! Yummy! Today you are looking at a fantastic tomato. Originally from the Isle of Krim on the Black Sea in the former Soviet Union/in the Lower Ukraine. This rare, and outstanding tomato yields 3-4" slightly flattened dark-red (mahogany-colored) slightly maroon, beefsteak tomatoes with deep green shoulders. Green gel around seeds. Fantastic, intense, slightly salty taste (which is great for those not wanting to add salt to their tomatoes).

You'll love this tomato, I just can't say enough about it!

Germination: 7 - 10 days

Plant Type: annual Maturity: 75 days
Exposure: Full Sun Shape: Beefsteak, 10 to 12 ounces
Color: Black-Purple

Tip: Tomatoes are best started indoors. This needs to be done 5 to 7 weeks before the last anticipated frost date. The seedlings can then be transplanted into your garden anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks after the last actual frost date. Call your County Extension Office to get frost information for your area.

Will you accept a SASE?

Sorry, no. If you send an SASE then I would not be able to prove shipment. I ship with tracking number so I can see from here when your parcel has arrived. USPS charges $1.75 to ship 1 oz. with tracking number, the rest of the fee I ask for covers the PayPal fee to collect money. I am not asking for any payment towards the seeds, the padded envelope or label that I use for shipping. Thanks for visiting my auctions! Good luck Bidding :)
