OR...would I be able to install this myself in a Gateway E4000, I think itsw a 4000. might be a 3000. I'll check.

On the back it says its a Gateway esx500S if that tell you anything, I am on social security disibility and cant afford a new computer and this runs fine except very slow.
Im computer ILL-iterate so please keep that in mind. If you have something, I will bid on it to win.

The hard drive will work you can install it as for the memory your pc use's ddr pc2100 and can only handle 1 gig max
