Here is a very pretty 18k late-Victorian era ring. This ring features 5 oval-shaped opals and 8 tiny rose-cut diamonds. These opals have a lot of colorful fire in them and they flash beautifully. The diamonds add extra sparkle! The center opal is 5 mm, the middle two are 4 mm and the end opals are 3 mm--all measurements are approximate. It is size 4.5 and can be resized by a jeweler. The ring is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, but the date mark is no longer visible; so I don't know the exact year it was made. It is most likely from the late-Victorian or Edwardian eras, 1880-1910. It is in very good antique condition.
