The listing, 17-1800's Trash Pit artifacts has ended.
A small collection of surface finds from an early Mill site that's been developed for housing authority. Found these while following a recently developed bike path along the river. The path appears to cut through what was likely the community dump site for the very nearby mill employee housing. Items pictured are mostly clay pipe stems (the cigarette butts from the 1800's and centuries earlier). Also included are small doll parts, pieces of pottery, and what I believe to be a lead dress weight. In the 19th century when big dresses were all the rage, these weights were sewn into the bottom to prevent a stiff breeze from exposing the goods. Winner gets all pictured, ideal for crafters or anyone that enjoys history. FREE SHIPPING IN THE U.S.
