It a "Get it Now". After you have done so many auctions and have a good feedback rating you get certain badges that allow you to choose how much you want for an item. When you receive the badges you will have the ability to either list and item as an auction or as a GIN, or you can do both on the item.
Then how come I was being charged $15 for a leather bracelet with charms on it? I didn't see that rule on here but I'm new at this. I also paid 10.00 for two different items, as well as an item for 7.99. Thank you for letting me know.
No problem...welcome to Listia Maximum Shipping & Handling Costs* for select items:
DVDs, CDs, VHS, Cassettes, Vinyl Maximum Domestic Standard Shipping: $3 Books Maximum Domestic Standard Shipping: $4 Video Games, Software, Computer Games Maximum Domestic Standard Shipping: $4 Jewelry Maximum Domestic Standard Shipping: $6
* you may charge more than the listed amount if your exact shipping cost is actually higher and can be verified via weight/dimensions etc.
The amount for jewelry was $6 the last time I checked (about a year ago) but looks like they have reduced it to $4. I ship out rings for $2.50 first class parcel which includes tracking from USPS on the average.
oh, I apologize....it is $6.....was looking at the charge for video games....so, anyway.....$6 is the limit to charge for jewelry items unless you can prove by weight or something that it will actually exceed that cost for you to send. I want to bid but I don't think it will cost more than $6......will that be okay? thanks ;D
well, you can't really cancel an auction once there have been bids placed without putting through a support ticket with Listia and they might be able to do it. You can always update the auction with your intention to charge $6 for the shipping and that is really all you need to do. No need to cancel. Best wishes to you ;D
Don't worry, you'll pick it up quickly. I agree that the shipping price is higher than necessary, but they'll probably work with you on your site. I just wanted to warn you that there are jackals among us--those who will let auctions end and then never contact the seller or buyer, and so on. Just use ur common sense and you should be alright.
