The hole in the pendant looks small. Can it be enlarged to accommodate a chain or a cord? Thanks for the info.

With something like this it's not recommended to put a chain through the hole. The movement of the chain will chip the agate until eventually it breaks. You'd be better off using a smooth jump ring to connect it to your chain (Which I'd be happy to send in gold, shiny silver, dull silver, bronze or copper). To answer you question though yes you could expand the hole. I didn't drill it but I believe the hole is 1mm. Hope that helps.
