Amazing, amazing, amazing that's what I have to say about this ring. I bought this ring new online at a close out, the listing was for a 7 1/2 however when i got it it was only a 6 3/4 and since it was all sales final they wouldn't let me return it. Sad for me GREAT for you. The photos where taken with my camera phone since i couldn't find the cord to my pc from my camera the photos where taken out side in natural sun light, the following was the description give online when i bought it. I am not a jeweler so i am listing this based on the description i was given.
"The ring is composed of a beautiful brilliant Cut lab created Diamond weighing 2.25 carats. The flanking stones are firey round stones that have a lovely shimmer.

The original ANTIQUE ring set retails for $36,000 . This is a LAB CREATED DIAMOND copy and is impossible to distinguish from the real thing except by an expert.

It is one of the most beautiful ring sets that I have ever carried !!

The Platinum-Rhodium finish falls under Government guidelines and consists of 120 LAYERS of real Platinum over a solid core Because of the Platinum, the ring weights approx. 7.2 grams. "

I am not so sure about the " impossible to distinguish from the real thing except by an expert." they are beautiful have have tones of shin but i have a few real diamonds and I do see some difference. So to re cap beautiful Platinum-Rhodium lab created diamond ring size 6 3/4.

My mom is one of the foremost experts on diamonds. You can very much tell a difference between lab created and real diamonds. Maybe it's just our family but I can tell a huge difference. First off, cut, clarity and quality of a diamond can affect many things. If you buy a real diamond but it's a cheaper say Walmart diamond, it will have small, hard to notice dark spots. The lower the quality the more this happens. However, the lab cut has a glassy top finish of fake cz's and other fake cuts. However, no matter how cheap and fake, no dark spots can be seen. It's not even realistic bad lol. Not to say that they aren't beautiful rings, they are there is just a huge difference. Also, the ANTIQUE thing is wrong. Big time. Lab created diamonds have been around fewer years than I have. Pretty sure I am no where near antique. Good luck at selling them but I thought you might like to have a little more info on lab cut diamonds.

the Antique is the style not the stone, it was designed biased on an antique ring, its antique in style. the stones yes are not old at all.

from my understanding lab created gems versus 'real' gems, they can not be told apart, they are made with the exact chemical compound as the 'real' thing, the hardness/clarity/color are identical! Hope this helps!!!

I have not tried or taken it to a jewelers but like one other lady asked the stones go half way or more around the ring i don't know if it was resizes that the stones would all work in the settings or not since resizing would change the curve and there are stones on three sides the top and top and bottom,

Quality cz's are very hard to distinguish from the real thing because they are set by diamond setters and they are cut by diamond cutters. Therefore the cut, clarity, and color are far superior to the real thing. Genuine diamond are very costly if you want a colorless diamond with no flaws which is what this ring is. The chemical composition of the ring is identical to a diamond. The only person who would not think it is real is an actual expert on diamonds. The average person walking down the street would never know the difference. If I had the points to bid on this ring I would. I would love to have it and I would wear it proudly.

I have a lab created diamond and I love it. Alot of people can not tell that it's not a "real" diamond. If you look hard enough, i'm sure some people might be able to tell, but how many people go around and stare for long periods of time at someone elses wedding ring. lol

its an 1800 replica and was made prob at the beginning of this year i bought it around June. But its sooooo gorgeous i wish that it would have come in my size that i ordered then i would get to keep it.

I've been lusting after this for quite a few days, I wonder if you could let me know the dimensions of the rings= it's so hard for me to correctly work" off of photos,
What I mean is how many mm wide is each separate band and also how many mm tall? If a rings too tall I catch it on everything.
Lastly the diamond appears square any way you could list the length by width of the center stone?

ok lets see what info i can give you, i will try to get as close as possible in size for you one the band with out the center stone is about 5mm wide and 3.5mm tall the other band is 5.5 wide4 tall and the diamond sits about 3mm above that. and the center stone is round and has 4 prongs and is 7mm across. Hope that helps

I did win an auction where I paid, several hundred thousand points for diamond. When I took it to jeweler he told me that it was not. He did state that cz and lab created are similar, however the lab is better quality. You are right in stating, it is very difficult to see with the eye that it is not the real thing. Due to our economy, it is affordable to purchase something just as this set, no one noticing the difference and most of the time more beautiful. My son just won a similar one on this site and is thrilled, and his fianc'e will be as well I'm sure. It also looks like the real thing.

This is a beautiful set. I will be watching. I really appreciate your thorough description and most importantly your HONESTY.

it's true....about the resizing. if diamonds go around half or more of the band..it cant be resized or it will mess with the settings.
