Description

The listing, Brian's Lunch has ended.

Brian's Lunch is a children's book written by Kimball Crum and illustrated by Greg Dowdy. The pictures inside are black / white. The description on back describes the book as: Brian's lunch is really neat. He always has weird food to eat. A python, a rat, and roaches to munch, And Brian's willing to share his lunch! I am the author and self-published this book and another one entitled, "My Sister is Missing" which is also listed. I would be willing to autograph the book if wanted. The book is 24 pages in length and all books are brand-new!

Facinating, Kimball. I would like to learn more about the "art" of self-publishing. My daughter, Leah, who is now an elementary school teacher, and I wrote a children's book when she was about 19 or 20 yr. old. She is now pregnant for the first time and I would love to self-publish our story. You must tell me more. If and when I win these two auctions, perhaps we can communicate further on the subject. Thank you for listing these for the community to consider. Albeit belated, I wish you a warm welcome to the Listia Community.

Thanks. I self-published these back in 1994 and 1997. I did it all locally except for the purchasing of a barcode, ISBN number and copyrighted. I had it printed at a local print shop. I edited myself. Today if I was going to do this, I would use the internet and check with places that self-publish books for you. But you have to be careful because some will take you. I sold over 1,200 copies of my first book and over 750 of my second. I use to go to schools and do book talks and sell them. I have pretty much saturated this area and don't have the interest I use to have since my boys are both grown now. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer what I can. Good luck!
