Questions & Comments
wow, nice set there marie. This should bring some credits your way.......
Actually the two larger ones are from a desert in Africa! The rest are from FL and I found them in Hog Town Creek that runs through the heart of Gainesville, FL. If you don't mind the mosquitos, the no-seems and the snakes, it's fun.
My grandson is 6 and already has a microscope, he has asked for binoculars and a telescope...he is a sciencer lover if ever there was...he would be floored to get these, what a great auction. So excited!!!!
I'll pick out some more and put in the box then as a bonus. I'm am so happy that some little boy will totally enjoy these. I found the certificate for the two larger fossils too. The certificate says: "Genuine Fossil Shark Tooth - 50 million years old - Common Name: Mackerel Shrk - Scientific name: Otodus obliqua - Found in the phosphate mines of northwestern Africa, this area was once covered by ocean water..... The rest of the fossils I found in Hogtown Creek that flows through the heart of Gainesville, Florida. If you live anywhere near Florida you might want to take him fossil hunting because they are everywhere! Actually, there are fossils to be found in just about any U.S. state. Marie
