Hey I cant be positive if it will work for att as I think their phones have sim cards I know that it can be flashed over to carriers such as Sprint and Verizion. I hope this helps you can always call a local att and ask if the phone has to have a sim card or sim chip to be activated through them.

While this phone has the technical capability to work on Verizon and Sprint's network, those companies will never activate it on their networks. If the serial number on the phone did not originate from their database, they have absolutely no way of adding it in.

That being said, it can be flashed to work on Cricket and several other smaller, regional carriers.

Can I ask a question about the phone? I want to bid as the auction gets close to ending but I have one question about the phone. From what I found on reviews of this phone that it has had problems with freezing up at times. Have you had this problem? I am not trying to cut the phone down or anything like that but before I use a ton of my credits I just want to be sure that the phone works good. Thanks.

I heard the same thing about the phone but only for those who used high memory usage games and apps. I didnt need a phone to play first person shooters :) The phone freezes were fixed with an LG patch that has been applied to the phone but here is the link in case you or anyone else wants to factory reset and reapply the patch.
