Description

The listing, Diaper Cover pattern- Very easy has ended.

This auction is for an emailed large sized diaper pattern.
The pattern is to be printed out on regular computer paper.
You decide before cutting how you want the closure style and the insert attachment style you desire. You also decide if you want the diaper cover 'sized' or 'adjustable size'.
This is a very easy pattern. You just cut the outside diaper cover and the inner lining, stitch, add your choice of closure and elastic and you are on your way!
When the bidding reaches 100 I will include the medium size and Preemie/Small size diaper patterns.

what kind of fabric do you use for the lining and the outside

for the outside cover I suggest 'PUL' fabric (waterproof). but, that being said, I have seen commercial diaper covers made with flannel, knit, and tightly woven
'polished apple' apparel fabric. those fabrics are not waterproof. Look at the G diaper sold at Babies R Us, they use knit fabric and have a plastic water proof snap in lining between the diaper and the cover. It is not 100% leak proof. That being said, my first choice is the 'PUL' fabric for the cover or for a COMPLETE lining inside the cover. As for the lining: birdseye diaper, diaper flannel, bamboo fleece, burley knit terry, french terry cloth, help fleece or the mircro fiber terry cloth. This later is similair to the individual towels they sell at the Dollar Store. I preferr the diaper flannel (I use 4 layers in the small, 6 in the md and 8 in the lg) although the birdseye diaper fabric dries the fastest.

To be clear; the last part of the above message where I state that I use '4 layers, 6 layers, 8 layers, I was referring to the cotton diaper insert. For the lining I suggest using the birdseye diaper fabric of diaper flannel. The other listing is for the diaper itself. Sorry for the confusion; I started rambling and forgot what you asked!
The pattern I send will explain how to use it, the sizing, fabric and notions, elastic measuring guide, cutting and marking, sewing instructions, insert layers guide for the diaper inself, cutting lay out examples for the width of fabric you will be using, cutting guide and then the insert patterns for the diapers if you choose to make your own. (You can also use commercial diapers and fold to lay inside the covers.
Then you will receive the actual diaper pattern
