Description

The listing, Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Native American Chrysocolla Necklace has ended.

Up for bids is an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Native American style sterling silver wire wrapped necklace. This piece would make an EXCELLENT Christmas gift for anyone who appreciates Native American, SouthWestern or Boho styles! I have no history on this piece but as a professional jeweler & a jewelry class instructor i can say this with certainty: this piece looks to be meticulously hand-made by a SKILLED artisan & although the metal is not marked (probably due to it being hand-made) it tarnishes & cleans like genuine sterling (no other metal does this) & the main stone (after MUCH research) looks to be Chrysocolla. The 2 tiny stones dangling on either side look to me to be Malachite. The necklace measures 12 inches in total length, the pendant itself takes up 3 inches of that foot. The necklace will be gift-boxed for the winner to assure safe shipping.
Chrysocolla Gemstone meaning
Chrysocolla is a very beautiful stone with many beneficial energies.
It is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures where it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings where there is upset.
Chrysocolla is a stone of peace, increased wisdom, discretion.
It promotes level headedness, encouraging clarity of thought and a neutral, cool attitude during turbulence. It can be used to decrease nervousness and irritability.
Healing properties of Chrysocolla
Chrysocolla can be placed directly on the affected body part. Laying it on the forehead as a 'third eye' offers spiritual benefit.
Help with infections (especially the throat area)
Used by healers to detoxify the liver, lower blood pressure
Has a cooling effect for fever reduction
Can assist in speeding up recovery from burns
Alleviates cramps
Chrysocolla is used to attract love...
Place the stone in a red or pink container half filled with water. Next, put three red roses in the container as well. Replace with fresh roses when any fade.
Your love will come to you!

How Wonderful! Chrysocolla is not turquoise, however it IS in the turquoise family, as you can see, it's a close relative. I wish you luck this time!

It could be, as I said I have no history on this piece & I can only use my expertise in the field of jewelry to make an educated guess, you could be right but I know for certain that chrysocolla was a stone used commonly by the Native Americans. Thanks for the input though ^_^

Heh, go right ahead, it's not my design (unfortunately)! Although studying it, I understand the mechanics of the design & how to make it, I haven't yet dipped my toes in wire wrapping of this caliber (but I plan to!) Good Luck on the bidding!
