I haven't listed any prison art in awhile.

~This is a print (not original) of an art piece done by a prisoner on Death Row.
~8 1/2 x 11" heavy stock paper
~Will be mailed in a folder so art won't get damaged or bent.

* Note I have been a pen-pal to Death Row inmates for many years. They send me their original artwork and I turn into posters and cards to sell, then put money back on their books.

How did you get started with being a pen pal?

Thank you, Susan, this is a tough market because "prison art" is real specific, it's usually more "hard core" like these skulls than some of the flowers and butterflies that I've used for cards. Certainly not for everyone, but the rawness of the art is captivating. It's a long story how I got into it, basically about 15 years ago I was super depressed and saw a show about an inmate being exonerated due to DNA, and the only thing keeping him going in prison was letters from pen pals. I took a chance, got a post office box, wrote my first letter, and the rest, as they say, is history!!
