The best advice I can give to shrimp plant owners is that shrimp plants don't like wet feet. So do not over water. They like being babied so give small sips of water several times a day and mist with water every day. Keep soil on dry side. The flowers bloom nearly year round. Feed them food once a month. 10-10-10 plant food likes to be in bright full sun. Keep leaves free of dust and remove spent flowers.
