I just wanted to drop by and vouch for this great pattern, seller, and whole idea of making a donation which I did on one of your auctions where the info re: the charity was up. I loved the fact that I was helping other women in your area with the particular charity and it's too bad you can no longer elaborate on it....although I did pass along the info to several of my friends

I happened to 'buy' the pattern prior to the death of one of my nephews and wanted to create something 'huggable' for his 5-year old daughter (my great-niece) especially considering I was unable to attend the funeral. I purchased a VERY soft white 'baby bear' and crocheted a scarf and hat ("to keep it warm during the trip to her on the airplane" as I wrote in my note). When I created the hat, I designed it kinda floppy and then made your flower in a contrasting/colorful yarn to sew on the front.

Long story short, my niece had been handling things well up until the day before the funeral and completely fell apart that morning....and mom couldn't console her no matter what she did. Mom called my sister to ask for guidance, even thinking about the ER for something to stop the hysterical crying....when the doorbell rang. There was the mail carrier....with the box containing the bear and my card and note to my niece. Mom took the bear to her and my niece snatched it immediately and held it tight....and the crying stopped. She continues to carry it will her even to the bathroom and she has told people she especially loves "the pretty flower on baby bear's hat."

Oh thank you! YOU are the one and only person to take me up on purchasing the pattern itself. I appreciate the donation as it enabled me to pay for shipping to have 9 instructional booklets from BeeBopaloola sent. I wouldn't have been able to have much added on the 6 I won without that aide.

Oh, I did want to mention that I happened to have a little plastic round thing that plays music when you press it. I had snatched it out of a tie my husband had. Don't know the song but it was pretty. When I sewed the flower on the hat, I sewed around the center with the music thing 'embedded.' I had also glued (E6000 glue is fantastic) and very pretty aurora borealis (rainbow sparkles) rhinestone in the center of the flower. I explained in my note that if my niece pressed in the middle of the flower, "magic would happen." I had put the most sensitive part up and the rhinestone had a foil-backed 'pointed' bottom so it was fairly easy to press and have the music play.

Oh that is a wonderful alteration! There really IS a lot that can be done with this pattern to make it more than just a single stand alone rose.

I have one person who really was hoping to get rosies shipped from me but I am willing to grant my patterns and seller's license to anyone willing to step in for me. I want to be able to contact my family and see if I can make MMR an incorporated Nevada entity before the end of the year (and I barely have the stamps to do that much).

The Siegel Suites where I stay at on Boulder Hwy is having a crafts sale with a table for $1 to fill with display-- I'll be using my son's coins to get that table and spread the word of MMR. We really lucked out with that. I have friends of MMR I have already told about the crafts sale and we all are gearing up. I actually can supply some people even! There will be ads on Craig's List I am told!

Hmmm...ya know, you COULD put the pic of the PDF on FIRST to clear things for people who can't read or comprehend what they read in full. By having the photo of a finished rosie, it might give the non-readers the impression that IT is up for sale. Maybe put up the pic of the PDF or Word doc and put "/Crochet Rose Pattern" in the title. That 'forward slash' would really make it clear its rights to a PATTERN. Then show the finished rosie as a latter photo of what it will look like once it's made.

Just a thought...especially since I've been an advertising exec in the past and KNOW people don't read anything but short sentences with lots of white space. It really sucks since we don't want to have to write so simply, but it DOES avoid confusion for more of the 'masses' who otherwise don't get the idea/message.

But this is NOT to win the pattern itself. It Is to get a certificate to authorize and show they have my full support to be selling these rosies! It says the certificate comes in several colors and so I would like to know the color that makes them happiest?! The pattern I grant here is just so they have a quick easy print out to use to make multiple roses from.
