The listing, Altered art scrapbooking supplies - Mexican themed double-sided calendar pages for upcycling has ended.
In 1997 and 1998 I kept my work appointments in gorgeous 7" by 6" spiral bound desk engagement calendars published by GIftWorks/Chronicle Books and designed by Melanie Doherty Design. I saved them all these years because even though the date pages were scrawled over with my notes, there were many irresistible full-color, double-sided pages of fabulous illustrations of things from Mexican popular culture.
I know I'll never get around to an art project with all of these, so I have taken the journals apart and salvaged 40 of those wonderful double-sided illustrated pages. As you can see in the photo, I removed the spirals from both journals (covers and title pages included) and carefully extracted the illustrated pages. That gives you 80 great Mexican culture images to play with! The edge of each page still has its holes from the spiral. Up to you if you wish to trim for your use.
These are in great shape! I've included the covers and the title pages, for context, in the auction. The pages include images of Mexican art, craft, graphic design and culture....movie posters, skeleton necklaces, tin ornaments, religious items...too much to mention here. If you are a lover of popular Mexican culture, you will love these pages.
Carefully stored for years in a smoke-free, pet-free home.
