I just had someone give me one of these. It was an at&t also. Its works fine with a contract sim or a prepaid sim. No problem whatsoever! The person i got it from took their sim out and i put mine in. NO problems at all with the transition with my sunburst. Nice phone too.

so the phone is locked are you removing you sim card so it will be unlocked for the at&t people or can you unlock the pone before sending it out

I'm not sure about using someone else's SIM. The phone isn't unlocked. You can use this on AT&T's GoPhone plan. just need to contact them at store or thru customer service and ask for a SIM card for a GoPhone plan.
