The listing, RARE Vintage Collectible Handmade Hobo "Bag by Josef" - Made in Italy Purse from 1930's-1950's has ended.

I am giving away this extremely rare, in excellent condition, handmade in Italy hobo-style purse made by "Bags by Josef". This purse was actually made sometime between the 1930's-1950's. "Bag by...Josef" was one of the premier purse-making companies at the time. The company no longer exists today, but their bags go for about $100 or more (depending on the condition of the purse). The purse that I'm giving away is a hand-made shiny black purse made out of wood and possibly wicker or straw? I actually know nothing about the history of this purse, other than it is extremely rare and it is an antique. If only purses could talk! I can pretty much guarantee that you will never come across another purse like this again, especially one in such excellent condition (unless the winner of this auction decides to relist or resell it for some reason). The purse's measurements are approximately:

10" across (taken at the widest point)
6" down (taken from the middle of the purse)
8" handle drop (taken from the tallest part of the handle to the middle of the purse).

It has a tag that says: "BAG BY...Joseph" HAND MADE IN ITALY.

Comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home (I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm : ) ).

It is hard and stiff! I mean, the purse's outer skeleton and handle are made of wood (I think). I hope that makes sense. It's in excellent condition for being from the 1930's - 1950's, and it was obviously taken care of very well by its previous owner.

It's so weird! When I bought this, I had no idea who "Bag by Josef" was, and the person that I bought it from didn't even bought out the maker or that it was from the 1930's-1950's! It wasn't until I did a little bit of research on it and I was like, "Oh! This is a very special purse! I have a ton (like a ridiculous) amount of purses...I would say over 200 :( purses, and I should give this away to someone who collects vintage purses." BTW, I will definitely be listing more purses in the future, not necessary vintage ones like this, though.
