Are there any suggestions as to how to quilt it, once it's put together?

The instructions for putting each block together are included in the package with the fabric for that particular cat. The overall layout is also included with the kit. As for the actual quilting of the quilt once the top is completed and you are sandwiching it together with the batting and backing I am not sure. I would imagine that would be left up to you.

This one can be done with traditional "needle turned" applique or the newer methods of using fusable webbing.

I want to go with the traditional..... Thanks! Oh, btw, is that a tumbling block I see behind the priority mail box? Beautiful colors!

Yes it is a tumbling blocks quilt in the makings. I am using the English Paper Piecing method... ALL done by hand. It make a great "take-a-long" project because the diamonds are done individually then sewn into the blocks, then strips etc.

It's still a work in progress and eventually will be a quilt just for me. I've made quilts for several other people... just not for myself (yet).

Is each one a different kit?

All the packs go together to make one quilt top. Winner takes all !

This is a Block of the Month kit. Each package/cat is one block or portion of the quilt. It was purchased one block per month through Keepsake Quilting several years ago. The idea behind the Block of the Month kits is so you can have a month to make up the first block before you receive the next one. By the time you get the last package with all the border fabrics you'll have the quilt top pretty much finished.
