This book really helped when my little guy started to lose his sight when he developed cataracts and I was beside myself. After reading this book it put me at ease about the whole blind things. But they do so well with there instinctive guides that they have ,he went climbed stairs ,knew how to go out thru doggy door.It gives you points on how to help them too.

yes it is ., gave me lots of info and insight to my my little guy and although he just passed recently ,I could not give him up

Nancy, my friend & I have a "Double Dapple" dachsund (sp?) that is deaf and mostly blind. He is a toot and always happy! Since I'm hard-of-heaing, I am pretty good at signing (big motions) to him and he's learning slowly to understand. Amazing how they adapt! F & W, and tell people-do NOT breed two Dapple dachsunds together!

Oh, and I am sorry about your "feller's" passing. I lost my last baby almost 2 years ago, but feels like yesterday! Adopt older/handicapped animals, they're great!

Thank u so much , he was my baby and I miss him. but Im doing better. That is funny that u mention dapple , My sister has 1 min dapple dachsund girl. and a brother regular dachsund and they are characters and love them alot. Have great weekend
