Vintage Andre Rivalle Pocket Watch, with 17 jewels, and shock protected description on the face. I have no idea how old this watch is, but probably from 70?? GP need to replace battery,from a smoke-free home, free shipping. Bid! Bid, Bid! Ask with any questions.

If it's a jeweled movement it's a winder - no battery - if it has a battery and the case is stamped 17 jewels, someone has put in a quartz movement at some point..... Good looking watch

If it is not working and is in fact a jeweled movement, it may only need cleaned - or as is the case with a lot of wind up watches, it was over wound and the mainspring is history - A good watch repair shop can rebuild the movement for you for between $150 to $250 - you are correct on when it was made - late 60's, early 70's -

OK, thanks for sharing the knowledge. I thought it was worth buying when I saw it from the antique shop and does not know anymore. It says 17 jewels so I guess it just need winding

I won many windup watches and kno they dont need batteries. There, that is why i was confuased how it could be a wind up n also battery operated. But if there has been a quartz movement in it, then that makes sense. Very nice watch. Fanned n watching
