No it is not that my first kid was a 1984 and it seems that all of the kids I have bought that were Coleco have been from 1984. It is funny when my collection was at its largest there was only one from 1984 and several from 1986 and 1985,currently I none is all. I think I find that lately I like the 1987's best . But at the moment really in search of a 1986 kid or but will settel for a 1985
