This auction is for 5 Female Ginkgo Biloba seeds that I "wildcrafted" from a neighborhood tree here in Berkeley,California.The Ginkgo Biloba tree is a gorgeous tree that is actually a "living fossil"-- being that this tree has survived the Ice Age! Not to mention that this tree survived the bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. These trees were (and probably still are) frequently planted near temples in Asia. And ,as if this tree couldn't GET any more amazing-- well it does! The seeds will produce both female and male trees! However,you won't be able to tell which sex they will be until they blossom. Female Ginkgo trees are "smelly" so they can possibly not be what you are looking for---I strongly suggest that you google the Ginkgo Biloba tree and also check out its history---it's a pretty fascinating and beautiful tree.Also, please check out the incredible videos on You Tube to learn how to germinate these seeds.
