toshiba satellite S55T-A5389 laptop parts or repair it turns on it shows its charging but the screen stays black the dvd drive is not screwed in but it is in the exact spot this laptop wasnmy sons so i no nothing about it except for my description the casing is in great condition one small crack on the side not noticeble operating system is windows 8 screen is scratch free i do not have a charger for this

I have a couple of suggestions that you might try to fix the no display. First, turn your computer off by pressing and holding down the start button. Next, unplug the computer and remove the battery. Press and hold down the start button for about 60 seconds. Release the button and plug in the computer. Press the start button and the display should return. Replace the battery. If this does not work, try it again. Or Try taking out the battery and putting it back in. Then press shift, F8, and the power button at the same time.
