The listing, OLD CROSS has ended.

I am not sure what this is, could be put on a keychain or hung up or whatever you would like. the cross has a crown (like what a king wears) with a small cross on top of it. you cant really see it in the pictures, sorry, blame my camera! lol. also on the front bottom it says "1914". so maybe it was made then? there is also a picture of the back as well, the only stamp says "japan". its silvertone and old, as you can see some of the silver has flaked off. i pu it beside my mouse to show how big it is.thank you for looking and please look at my other auctions as well!!! ;-)

This is a Japanese copy of the old World War I German Iron Cross medal. The Iron Cross was given for bravery but in 1960's became a "fashion statement" item for surfers, bikers, hippies, etc. Copies of the German cross or with modifications ofsurfers or bikers added on were common when I was in college..

yea, thats what ive been hearing. im not sure where i got it from. it may have belonged to a relative, im trying to do a quick family tree to see, because it just showed up in some stuff i unpacked.
