metro pcs told me that they absolutly will not flash a blackberry. they explained to me that they hold a conract with blackberry that disallows them to flash a blackberry from another carrier. I tried to call multiple stores and was told the same thing when my sister gave me hers. please look into that before bidding.

I purchased this phone from Ebay already flashed to MetroPCS for my 14 year old son who wanted a phone mainly for texting and talking. I didn't want to be chained to a 2 year contract so we went with Metro for our carrier and for $50 a month my son was able to text to his heart's content, it served the purpose that we bought it for, but if someone wants a phone with all the bells and whistles of a brand new Blackberry then this is NOT the phone for you............

I also heard that when phones are flashed you loose a lot of features... Check into this before you bid.. I personally love the phone and would want it but I will not take the risk of winning it and finding out I can't use it the way it is meant to be used...

Perhaps you should buy a brand new Blackberry from the Blackberry store and then you can be sure that you can use it exactly how you want it to be used.......

blackberries can not be flashed. only CDMA phones can for a full list of what phones can be flashed look here:

http://www.metropcs.com/metroflash/

even if you could flash it it would be useless as a flashed phone can not use anything other than regular texting and calling... no web no picture messaging, ect.... pointless to flash a nice phone that has all those fancy doo dads for nothing.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic, I'm just SAYING, I bought this phone ALREADY flashed, whether or not it CAN be flashed is yet another story, but after all you won't be paying cash money for the phone, it's basically FREE, I paid cash money for it and it served my son's purpose which was unlimited talking and texting, all the fancy doo dads didn't matter to us, we were happy with the phone as it was!!!

You can surf the web with this phone, but because the screen is so small it requires alot of scrolling to see the whole page, because we didn't get an owner's manual, we didn't know how to access many of it's features, you can check emails and go to Facebook, I would keep it but I can't afford it, since my son found a phone he wanted more than the Blackberry, but $50-$60 is not a bad price to pay for unlimited everything!!!

Yes it has a sim card slot, at least there's a place where one could go, and no I don't have the original box.
