Description

The listing, Hitachi DVD video camera / recorder has ended.

The Hitachi DZGX5020A DVD Camcorder records digital video and still images onto removable 8cm DVD-R/W and DVD+R discs. This results in images that you can play back thousands of times with virtually no degradation of picture quality. A 1/6" CCD captures video and stills in high-resolution recordings, while the camera's SD/MMC slot allows for up to stores still images in 640 x 480 resolution onto SD memory cards.

Small and streamlined, the DZ-GX5020A also boasts a 7-second start-up time, 16:9 recording mode, and a simplified menu system. With this camcorder, you can enjoy all the convenient benefits of the DVD format and top of the line features, all at entry-level prices.

DVD-DAR, DVD-R/W and DVD+R Recording
With the DZ-GX5020A, you can record home movies directly to DVD, and then play them back on your home DVD player. Because DVD provides random, direct access to data, there's no rewinding and no fast-forwarding to play back what you've recorded.
1/6" CCD
The DZ-GX5020A's single, 1/6" CCD captures video and still photos in outstanding clarity and color.
Digital Still Mode and SD/MMC Slot
Capture digital still images in 640 x 480 resolution directly to an SD card in the DZ-GX5020A's SD/MMC slot.
16:9 Widescreen Recording Mode
Use the camcorder's 16:9 mode to record movies in a widescreen aspect ratio; the same ratio used by the majority of big-screen motion pictures.
Electronic Image Stabilizer
A high-quality image stabilization system corrects camcorder shake instantly, so your videos always look smooth, steady, and natural.
Self-Timer
The self-timer lets you easily snap digital still pictures after setting the camcorder on a tripod. It works exactly the same way as a self-timer on an ordinary digital or 35mm still camera.
Quick Mode Menus and Quick Start
The camcorder boasts a start up time of about 7 seconds, while its Quick Mode menu system has been simplified from previous Hitachi DVD camcorders.
Questions & Comments
Original
This is a pre-owned (by me) camcorder in good working condition. We just don't use this anymore. We used it mainly for the birth of our son. Now we use a simpler and smaller camcorder. It was bought at AAFES which is a military mall for almost $300. I am including a link to a website with more product info

Sorry no. Longer auctions tend to get more credits, and this is an expensive item and I want to get as many credits as possible :)

How many Megapixels (MP) is this? Also it can invariably choose to record directly on a disc or to a flash drive?

You can use SD cards in it. Not sure what MP...I will try looking in the manual. It takes still pictures so I just need to find out the MP.

Not a whole time left so I only have one question. Can your video camera duplicate normal size DVD's from the camera by itself or do you need to purchase a duplicator to gowith it in order to make DVD's that you can play out right in a normal DVD player?

The small dvd discs will play on computers and in dvd players if the disc has been finalized on the dvd player
