According to the info on the box, it is compatible with Windows 98, Millennium, 2000 or XP (home or professional). It doesn't list Vista. Although I've read a few posts online that says it can run on Vista, I wouldn't chance it.

This is the FIRST one they made. It was great when it was created but it isn't even close to CS4, or any of the ones before that in fact, It WILL work on XP but it will NOT work on Vista or Windows 7 as far as I know. We tried to get it to work on Vista and it would not work and since Windows 7 is merely an upgraded version of Vista I am sure it will not work on it either. It is VERY old folks. However, it was a WONDERFUL program for it's age. The features the newer versions have a FAR FAR better of course. SO if you have XP or lower it would be great. Just thought I would try to help. I am a graphic engineer for a TV Production company. ;)

It is a little old (although I wouldn't say very old...) In fact, I still use it and find it far superior to the newer editions of PSE (I've tried various ones up to ver 8). Unless you are in the business, you don't need all the bells and whistles on the latest "upgrades". I'm a writer and editor and I deal in graphics all the time and this is the program I use for most things (anything REAL complicated, I farm out to our graphics guy). My company site (www.bardenterprises.com) will give you an idea of the graphics work I do with this program.

I've been on computers since the old DOS days (actually, even before that, on a Kaypro) and I've found that upgrades are often more about making money for the company than putting out a better product.

You can read more about it on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Elements-2-0-OLD-VERSION/dp/B00006ANW9) -- it got very good reviews from most people. Also check out:

Well I would agree it WAS one of the best they ever did make and I too still use it. Like you I have been doing this since the start. My first computer was a pad of paper and pens. LOL

You would have to admit, In the computer world anything over 5 years old is considered OLLLLD. This program has been around way longer then that BUT I STILL love it to be honest.

Who ever gets it should be very happy with it for sure.

Oh, I just noticed you had this set to send "Media Mail". Now you can do that of course but I send a LOT of these kinds of things out and oddly it is cheaper to send it first class, just so you know you might want to compare the prices to save you a buck or two. Mostly likely it wont be that much different but it will be a tad bit cheaper, POSSIBLY. With the book added it may very well be cheaper via media mail but I would check it out any how. This is NOT to be rude as some thing when I give "my two cents worth" I am just trying to be helpful. I hope it is okay. God bless www.rcmintv.us
