In this auction you will get live ground covering plants these plants are from my garden. I don't have to use mulch in between my flowers. This plant will replace mulch and it will help prevent weeds from growing. This plant will spread thru out your garden and will cover all the ground and it doesn't over take the flowers you plant it goes around all plants and flowers. If planted in your garden now by next year it will multiply 100 times more plants every year. They grow very fast and will even grow up the side of brick walls. You will get 20+ plants with roots and will be ready to stick in ground as soon as they arrive. The plants that you will receive will be straight from my garden to yours! All listia rules apply! Also in the winter they look like they are dead but you don't have to cover them or anything plant them once and let them go they will cover everything you want covered. I forget if they flower or not but I will check and see. My neighbor gave me 5 little plants with roots last year and you can see from my garden what they look like just the second year of life.

Will they choke out flowers in a flower bed?

No they don't choke out the other plants and flowers they will circle around the flowers. But they will need trimmed back every other month in little flowers because they will try to go over top of it. But plants that are taller than a half foot will have no problems. They will just grow right around it. This plant is really cool it grows in my garden to be about a foot long and it is amazing how it covers the ground.

Will this grow in shade? Will it survive in very hot temp, like in south Texas?

It will survive as long as they get watered! At least water 2/3 times a week and they will take off! They thrive in the warm temps. In the winter they will look like they died but in spring will come back 100Xs bigger!!! This is only my second year with these plants and I love them. I started out with 3 little plants with roots last year and as you see they went crazy in my garden!
