Many thanks to MNPID for a brief understanding of Coach bags. I have updated this entry with new information regarding the Creed and Serial number specific to the bag (who woulda thunk it???)

By this new information, I was able to track down all the finer details about the bag too! so ... here you go ...

Adjustable shoulder strap and carrying handle extra 1 outer compartments and 2 large inner compartments,credit card slots,pen slit,turn lock

The serial number found in the bag (hard pressed into the leather): L6C 5274. Above that is some text:

"This is a Coach Bag. It was handcrafted in the United States of completely natural clove-tanned cowhide. The variations in the grain are characteristic of natural full grain leather."

This was given to me used as a gift a year ago and aside from carrying my Laptop in it (17 inch screen) I had no other use for it. I tried to look it up online, but naturally it's part of an old collection (the date has 1992 on the booklet that came with it)

Black leather, clearly worn, but from what i understand, Coach bags have a lifetime warranty and anyone with the interest in Coach bags will obviously enjoy this one.

Slots for business cards, pens. No holes. In considerably great condition but obviously it was a well used bag before I received it ... and I used it MAYBE twice toting a laptop. A 17-inch laptop will fit, but very snug. Too snug for my tastes.

Also, I believe it's a females bag. Maybe unisex, but it was a woman who gave it to me.
