Oh to make the links work you have to find the space Listia puts in and delete it. In the link about it is towards the end. The 3rd / after the .com silver-different
Again Thanks I love learning new things . Guess I should have done this before so I could be educated on what I had on my site I just took the word of the craft fair person.

Your profile, the wolf, I have a tat of a blue eyed wolf. My question is what is tibetan silver?

That is a good question. I had to do some research on this. I knew before hand that Tibetan Silver was a mixture of alloys and often have only a small about of silver.

From what I have just read, it depends on where the item was made as to what it is and may contain. Now most Tibetan silver is a mixture of copper, tin and at one time nickel. Now there is very little nickel if any at all in Tibetan. I also learned that Tibetan silver refers to the style than the silver content. It is known for its vantage style and a lot if it is a base metal plated with 925 silver. I read many sites and this one is a concise version of the information I found.

I have no ideal where this Crucifix was made I just know what the vendor told me. I bought tons of different things at a craft fair to make bracelets for my girls for Christmas. All the items I bought for the bracelets were either plated white gold or 925 silver and the dangle beads were Tibetan Silver.

I hope this helps you. Thank you again for asking such a great question and for bidding.
I hope you and your family have a Blessed Christmas and Holiday Season

I got the Cross at a craft fair it was with a set of Tibetan Silver European Dangle Beads. I thought it would make a lovely necklace so took it off the Bead Eye and added a chain. The jump ring on the cross is one i had. The chain also came from the craft fair. I kinda got carried away buying European beads and bracelets for my girls to make for their Christmas presents. That us why I have so many on Listia. I thought I would share them. Thank you for the kind words and for fanning and bidding. I have returned the fan and am going to check out your auctions.

Yes to my knowledge Like i have said these were all bought from vendors at a craft fair. I have relayed the information I was given. The necklace has a tag that reads 925 so I am going to presume that it is silver. That is what I was told I hope the vendor was not lying to me. I would see no reason for him to

Currently, jewellery, beads and castings described as 'Tibetan Silver' tends to be a base iron 'cheese metal' casting, overlaid with this pewter and silver plating. Dependent on source, these can be either thick and robust, or attractive but easily broken due to a loose, fragile inner casting. The latter productions are therefore only suitable for small castings up to around 12mm, or transient 'fashion' jewellery with a short lifespan.
