Description

The listing, Sharper Image Literati e.Book Reader - ** LIKE NEW ** has ended.

This is Sharper Image Literati eBook reader would make an excellent CHRISTmas gift! This reader features a full-color, anti-glare 7" LCD screen making it great for reading in all types of lighting conditions. Unlike e-ink type readers, you can read this in bed without the need for an external light source.

Pages are turned either using the the D-Pad on the keyboard or, more naturally, simply touch one of the direction arrows on the perimeter of the screen.

Supported file formats include EPUB, HTML, PDF and TXT, although by using a program called Calibre, you can convert from virtually any file format to one supported by the Literati.

You can purchase and transfer books wirelessly by connecting to the Kobo Bookstore, or you can transfer books either by SD card or USB cable.

Stumped by a word while your reading? Simply pull up the built in dictionary and you will be presented with the definition instantly!

This device comes from the factory pre-installed with about twenty free public domain books to get you started, but due to some asinine rule by the Listia Higher Ups, I will have to delete these before shipping it to you. Not to worry, though - all you have to do is do a factory reset from the settings menu and the books will be reinstalled along with the default software.

This was NEW when I got it and I have only used it once. I got an Entourage Pocket eDGe instead so I really have no need for this. Everything is included - even the carrying case and the SUPER AWESOME book-shaped box it came in.

As an added bonus if GIN is used - a FREE SCREEN CLEANING KIT!

I can only use so many words here to describe this, so if you would like some more information, you can go to my website to read more: http://www.robotsandcomputers.com/computers/handhelds_literati.htm

Like most electronics devices today, this uses a built-in, non-replaceable Lithium Ion rechargeable battery pack. As I said in the description, _EVERY_thing is included. This includes the AC wall charger and the USB cable that originally came with it.

i have the lookbook version of this and it's pretty awesome. i love using it for PDFs and it's convenient the way it keeps a list of books you're currently reading so that more than one person can use it without messing up bookmarks.

Please do not do that. Clicking on the plus sign DOES NOT give anyone extra credit, experience or any other benefit. This is just a rumor that was started by a rogue group. All it does is confuse the comments section.

The fourth picture, the one with the reader in it's carrying case, is of the actual item.

For the remainder of the 150 free books that are advertised with this, you had to (and still can) go to the Kobo Bookstore and download the ones that you choose. It's a relatively painless operation :-)

Good luck and Merry CHRISTmas!
