Actually it may not work unless the device you are trying to put them onto plays mp4 format, as that is what the format of an ipod song is. If you switch your library say from media player to itunes, it must be converted from mp3 to mp4. Those songs that you convert are not longer playable on older mp3 only players. I have found that ALL itunes music bought from them only plays on ipods or can be burned onto a disc but will not play on non ipod devices. If you burn a cd to itunes this music is still usable to transfer to other devices. To transfer music to a non ipod player. Do not sync the device or open itunes. What you do is go into "my computer" access the player as a removable hard drive, once you have opened it- go to the folder where the itunes music is stored- drag and drop from there. Ta Da- hopefully this will work for you as it works on muvo, slyvania, and a few other cheapy mp4/mp3 players. Good luck.
