Description

The listing, WW2 Opened by Army Examiner has ended.

Military themed old covers from 1930s, and since one is Army, I added the 1940s MNH Army bombers overhead stamp with it. And, with the Sinking ship stamp on the old 1938 cover, I added a MNH of that same stamp.

Also, there is one cover Navy related, so I included a MNH Navy men in summer suits with it. And on the sinkin ship, you see the NATIONAL AIR RACES, showing an old plane in flight, and so I included two, old airmail stamps of the old plane similar!

Army Examiner: Bottom left, initials of Army person who opened and inspected contents, on postal stationary, returned Pvt (Private rank) Postmarked US ARMY Postal Service

Navy cover: Intersting cover not the standard cancel marks, also REGISTERED number, also Postmaster note, also addressed to an HONORABLE, backside FOUR stamped in purple (registered, Naval Academy etc)

Chaplains sinking ship cover: Very nice AMS duplex cancel. Usually stamped blurred, nice and clean, and usually rounded oval, this has points, Nice postmark: AIR MAIL FIELD
