Description

The listing, Real sea urchin necklace has ended.

Made from a real urchin I picked up on Agate beach here in Namibia
That is the sea urchins natural color, just polished it to bring out the color and varnished it to give it strength.
Added a sparkling glass bead to the centre and put it on a beaded necklace to complement the urchins color
So pretty and petite.

As described above and what you see is what you will receive. I only mail out to Listia verified mailing addresses to keep shipping free.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Delivery could take up to 30 working days but it’s usually a lot less, the reason it takes so long is because I am in NAMIBIA, AFRICA. So if you can’t wait for delivery, please don’t bid :-) If you do please do me the courtesy of waiting out the delivery period before requesting a refund. You would want the same from your bidders 

It is worth the wait, just look at the feedback on my other auctions.

GIN GETS YOU AN EXTRA PIECE OF JEWELRY :)

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

P.S Negative or rude comments and negative and neutral feedback will get you blocked from my auctions as I want other bidders to have a pleasant experience. I always try to make things right and pride myself on being an honest and trusted seller

Questions always welcome ;-)

Good Luck !

hi i been sharing this and so far no ones told me it didn't work for them so heres what i was told that will save You some cash apparently international means worldwide outside your country BUT I Was told From Canada to US or vise versa is Not International ,yes its more to ship outside ones country but even more if it's outside the Canada US Combo , if the information shared with me by a x postal worker the posts are profiting more than they need to be because most people say to them their shipping international and postal workers don't correct them ,some don't even realize it themselves if their not well experienced postal workers or if they follow their instructions to not bargain down the price for customers who ask for more than they need THATS The only part i know 100% sure so far because it happens to me a lot it's not been a lot thou example my going in with not enough postage in stamps on letters ,staff often offer to put another full priced stamp at . 85 cents to 1.20 each and when i corrected them i only needed another 35 cents not another dollar they resist me a bit before looking like they clued in finally and charged me only the difference i needed ( really clued in or or just lazy i don't know , it is extra effort for them to prepare printed tag stamp ,the white sticker labels were used to seeing, Hope it helps, all adds up ,,

thats not my original question thou, wondering if this was freshly finished or dried out 1st ,makes no difference to me except for the knowledge ,i don't and won't be finishing any myself and even if i wanted to ,ever since the government sold licences to foriegn fisheries (error spelling sorry ) their a delicasy ,not here ,yuck, the massive amounts are now extinct practically, we cant find them where we used to see ocean floor completely covered , Question is are they completely dried when you polish and finish them ? i don't recall even what they felt like after they died and were dried out i just always imagined them to be delicate and brittle / fragile ,
either way i expect it wasn't an easy task Many seeing this might not know if never seen one their completely covered in spiky quill things which is hoe they move across the ocean floor and is the reason for all the dots , one for every quill ,AMAZING I Have to bookmark your auction page to show my kids, we been searching for over 10 to 15 years in attempt to show one to our kids after telling them we had to wear shoes in swimming or get poisoning from stepping on these ,unavoidable when we were kids, i been angry at the greedy trawlers (fishermen )ever since THANKS So much for listing this ,you'll reply about the if dried or sealed with finish ( preserved ) question so i can decide on my final bid i hope please ? hope you don't mind my trip down memory lane & information shared i hope, thanks for your comment space and patience with me,

Hi :), that is a good question :), the beach is about 500m from my porch, so I go down when high tide comes, they get thrown out of the sea then and most don't survive it because the sea is so rough here, but the ones that do I take and first clean and then bleach for 2 days to get rid of impurities and salt then it gets cleaned again and I varnish them with 3 coats of clear varnish by dipping them so they get covered inside and out, then they are ready to be turned into something pretty :). The coats of varnish make them stronger and makes them sparkle like you would not believe. Hope this helps :)

Yes, lol. Through trial and eror I learned what works best. I have used ones that I just picked up on other occasions but they are not as strong as the ones I take straight from the ocean, lol. Its funny because when I go get them I have to fight the sea, its like he shows me this pretty shells he spits out and then tries to take them back with the strong waves.
