The listing, Native American Indian Ring has ended.
I bought this in a second hand store even knowing it was a size 10 and wouldn't fit me. I love Native American jewelry but I can't wear this because it's too big and placing a spacer in is not an option.
I you a magnifing glass...you can usually make out the marks or numbers. does it say 925 or s'terling......if so it is silver.......it mak also have the silversmith's name on the insise of the ring. Hate to ask you to look closely, but this is part of Listia....we like to know what we are bidding on.......thanks for your efforts....lol Singing Bird
WOW i love this!!! i rly hope i win, i dont have much Credits but i would Give this to my gf to ask her to merry me, and i know she would love this!! hope i win, Fanned and watching.
Thank you soooooooooooooo much for doing the research....I do know sometimes the silversmith will just put their name on a piece.....so I can believe that the bear may be the signature of the artist.....your are so sweet to do that for me. My son's name is "Clawing Bear" so this would be a perfect gift for him. He had one that had a bear claw and turquoise stone....but he lost on a hunting trip. I will be bidding and watching....thank you again for this auction....LOL Singing Bird
There is a mark but I'm not really sure what it is. I think I was told it's a mark they used a long time ago....I think a bear ?? Not sure. I tried to take a pic of it but it didn't come out well at all.
It's stamped with a bear. I was told that it was a bear when I bought it. I honestly can't be sure but I do believe it's sterling silver.
I found this under Hallmarks of American Indian Jewelry: In the beginning Native American jewelry hallmarks were just the initials of the artist or a symbol they loved such as an arrow or buffalo or the like.
