I bought these from a retailer as 925 sterling silver necklaces. I was selling them with a charm attached to them as a gift type necklace. One of my buyers told me that the clasp and the clasp only reacted to a magnet so the clasp had to be plated. So, because it is not 100 percent silver due to the clasp being plated I am selling them as marked 925. I personally believe that the chain is .925 pure silver and depending what other metal is added and how strong the magnet is, a person may get a reaction to the "filler" metal. So, That is all I know of them but if I find this seller again, I will definitely question him on the clasp. I actually paid a good sum of money to get these because I wanted something nice to list on here.

Questions & Comments

I have oodles of sterling silver chains that I am absolutely certain are sterling silver- and a few of their clasps do react to magnets- this doesn't mean the chain isn't sterling. I don't care who says otherwise. I got rid of a ton of my sterling and gold pieces that I no longer wore- and did the gold for cash thing. I'd say 1/3 of the 925 items did move to that magnet they use when testing the jewelry- and those items were all accepted as STERLING SILVER! (but you are a wise person to list is as such- because it wouldn't shock me if someone would use that as a reason to dispute the auction... (it would make me roll my eyes- but it wouldn't surprise me!)

Watching these for now- most of my credits are tied up in bids- but I will be eyeballing that GIN offer! Mighty tempting! :)

Yes, the get it now is really low for 10 sterling silver necklaces. That averages to just 550 points a piece with free shipping!
